For a firefighter to carry out his work safely it is important that an ongoing programme of training is given, with the gaining of new skills a firefighter will be able to carry out his duties more competently. Here are a selection of pictures of Crowle fire fighters taken during off station training. Pictures above show training taking place using specialized rescue equipment and instruction of the communication control center.
The type of equipment seen below is usually stowed at a whole time fire station nevertheless as retained firefighters we need to have training to be fully conversant with the equipment.
Here you see three appliances from D1 Station Scunthorpe, RSU heavy rescue unit, water ladder and the turntable ladder with aerial platform.
Here you see the crew carefully extending the turn table ladder towards the drill tower.
Finally the ladder reaches first floor of the drill tower. Photographs kindly donated by Mick Button Home-History-Historic Pictures-Training-The Crew-Past & Present-Fund Raising-Statistics-Fire Safety-Links-News - Incident Reports - Community Safety
