Car Wash 2005

What is now becoming an annual event with every fire station in the country taking part  The National Fire Services Benevolent Fund

( FSNBF ) are striving to raise funds for the 2.5 million pounds Harcombe House rehabilitation centre in Devon.

On September 10th the fire fighters of Crowle where primed with buckets of  soapy water eager to clean the vehicles of Crowle and Ealand, having received generous donations of Car Shampoo and sponges from local business all was set for the cars to roll into the car park at the fire station.

While the cars are washed the fire fighters where on hand to give advice on home fire safety awareness and give the public a chance to view the fire station.

As the fire fighters set about washing the cars tea and biscuits was available for all those contributing, Whilst the weather was not too kind having the occasional rain shower nothing stopped the enthusiasm of all taking part, with 4 hours of washing the fire fighters raised £138.00, which was a great achievement.
